| The difference in the coulee names is confusing until the maps are compared to the General Land Office Surveys and Survey Notes of John Campbell. Coulee des Noix and Isle des Cannes (running East to Southwest) are one in the same. This is noted in the General Land Office Surveys of Township 11 South, Range 3 East, Township 11 South Range 4 East and Township 10 South Range 3 East. |
